A man convicted of killing and dismembering another man will be spending the rest of his life in jail.
Joshua Williams was sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years Friday.
Williams was found guilty of murdering Jamil Khan in September 2013. The two were friends who were running an illegal marijuana operation.
Williams addressed Khan’s family at his sentencing.
“I am so truly deeply sorry for their loss,” Williams said. “I never intended for this to happen. I had no ill will towards Jamil Khan… If there wasn’t anything I wish I could take back. I wish I could take back that night.”
“You always knew when Jamil was around,” said Khan’s father, Tai Khan. “Today, we miss him, We have been missing him since his life got taken brutally away.”
Michael Connolly was also originally charged with murder, but those charges have been dropped. The prosecutor’s office says it’s possible charges could be reintroduced.
