Damien serves green malasadas for St. Patrick’s Day

Students at Damien Memorial School got the chance to enjoy green-colored malasadas ahead of St. Patrick’s Day.

While the recipe remains a secret, KHON2 got to see how the sugary treats are made. Cafeteria workers added McCormick green dye to the dough and let it rise overnight. 

The malasadas were sold to students, faculty and Damien ohana for 75 cents each with all proceeds returning to the school.
