NTSB asks for witnesses in deadly Kauai crash

The National Transportation Safety Board is asking anyone who saw the light sport aircraft crash on Kauai to come forward.

On Tuesday, March 11, officials say a Birds in Paradise aircraft crashed in Waiakamoo Valley in Polihale. Pilot/owner Gerry Charlebois and his passenger, Mark McKenzie of Pickering, Ontario, Canada, were killed.

Officials say the aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances on the side of a mountain at around 9 a.m.
