Man killed, several injured in Nanakuli crash

A Kalihi man has been arrested in connection with fatal three car accident in Nanakuli.

The 24-year old was arrested for negligent homicide. He’s been released pending further investigation.

Police say he was driving a white lexus when it crossed the center line on Farrington Highway near Auyong Homestead Road Sunday afternoon. It then hit a blue Chevy which then was hit by a Jeep.

“At this point we are not looking at speed as a factor and we’re still investigating it,” Honolulu police Lt. Bobby Towne said.

The 39-year-old man driving the blue car died at the scene.

Paramedics transported two women and a man to the hospital, along with a 3-year-old boy. A man in his 20s refused transport.

The 24-year-old man who was driving the white car during the accident was arrested for negligent homicide.

He’s been released pending investigation.

Police are still investigating why the car crossed the center line.
