Organizers have canceled Tuesday’s weekly farmers’ market at Kapiolani Community College following an accident that killed a 27-year-old early Saturday morning.

Police say at around 6:30 a.m., vendors were setting up for the market when a Ma‘o Organic Farms truck hit at least two people. Kaimuki resident Anne Runland was rushed to the hospital where she died.

Campus officials and the Hawaii Farm Bureau say they are discussing future plans for the Saturday Farmers’ Market and will announce a decision once it is made.
