Tumbleweeds take over Colorado city

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KKTV/CNN) -– Tumbleweeds are rolling through Fountain, Colorado.

They are stacking up along fences, cars and homes.

Some residents can’t get out of their driveways, even their homes, because of the tumbleweeds.

City and county officials are working on plans to clear streets and highways.

In an El Paso County document, officials state that this year is extraordinary and they have been in continuous tumbleweed clearing operations that started in November 2013.

During this period the county has spent $150K in labor and equipment.
