Memorial service to be held for missing Maui woman Carly Scott

Carly Scott

It’s been a month and a half since Carly Scott was last seen on Maui.

Two weeks ago police reclassified it from a missing person case to a homicide.

Sunday afternoon Carly’s family will hold a memorial service for Carly and her unborn baby Joshua.

It’ll start at 11 a.m. at Baldwin Beach in Paia and will go till around 4 p.m.

The Scott family hopes to see all the people who helped out with the search.

It’s a potluck event and the family also encourages people to bring tents and tables.

They plan to set a ceremonial canoe out to burn at sea .. and they’re asking people to bring leis and flowers to release into the waves.

Carly was five months pregnant when she went missing on Feb. 9th.

Carly ex-boyfriend has been named as a person of interest, but so far no one has been arrested.
