For the first time since the 1700s, nene have been spotted on Oahu.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service spotted a pair of the endangered geese at the James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge near Kahuku.

Scientists say the two have successfully nested and hatched three goslings.

KHON2 will get a chance to visit the site on Wednesday.
