The son of former Hawaii governor Ben Cayetano has died. Cayetano confirmed his son, Brandon, died Tuesday morning in Honolulu.
Many lawmakers expressed their condolences on Brandon Cayetano’s passing Tuesday.
“On behalf of everyone one in the House of Representatives, I would like to extend our condolences to the Governor and the entire Cayetano family,” state Rep. Joe Souki said in a statement. “We were all saddened by the news of Brandon’s passing, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends in this most difficult of times.”
“He was known in the community for the way his kindness and generosity touched everyone he met,” said U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa in a statement. “Turning his passion for paintball and airsoft into a successful business, he spread joy doing what he loved, a gift we can all aspire to.”
“Brandon was a beloved son and brother,” said U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz. “He was a longtime friend to many throughout our community.”
Brandon Cayetano owned and operated Hawaii All Star Paint Ball and Air Soft Games. He was 54 years old.
The cause of his death has not been released.
