A Texas man wanted for sexually assaulting a nine-year-old has been found on Oahu.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested 42 year-old Adrian Gamble of Galveston, Texas at 10:30 a.m. Thursday on Komohana St. in Kapolei.

Gamble was wanted by the County of Galveston, Texas on a grand jury arrest warrant for indecency with a child and sexual contact.

On September 20, 2008, authorities say Gamble intentionally engaged in sexual contact with the child, who was under his care.

On March 22, 2011,  Galveston County District Attorney’s office issued a grand jury arrest warrant, but Gamble had already fled Texas.

In December 2013, Texas U.S. Marshals tracked Gamble to Honolulu and contacted U.S. Marshals in Hawaii. After conducting surveillance and following up on leads, U.S. Marshals, Hawaii State Sheriffs and ICE-ERO Agents took Gamble into custody.

Gamble is now at Honolulu Police Department Central Receiving pending a court appearance and extradition hearing back to Texas.
