Style website DailyCandy to shutter after 14 years

DailyCandy, a style and shopping website that covers fashion, food, and entertainment, announced Friday it will close in one week.

The website, which is owned by NBCUniversal, will publish its last post on April 4.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we write today to say goodbye,” the website said in a message to its readers. “After 14 years delivering you the best in food, fashion, and fun, this train, as they say, is pulling into the station.”

DailyCandy gained popularity as a website that uncovered fresh finds and emerging businesses, packaged in a playful, cheeky tone. It currently publishes 11 city editions and two national editions, and is active on many social media networks.

The website has a reported readership of six million.
