The warning signs have been taken down along the Ala Wai Canal after more than 1,700 gallons of raw sewage overflowed from a sewer pipe.
The sewage spilled near the intersection of Hobron Lane and Lipeepee Street late Saturday afternoon.
A vacuum truck retrieved about 300 gallons of the sewage Saturday night.
The area was cleaned and disinfected.
People are advised to stay out of the canal.
