Hawaii’s Most Wanted: Ryan Onuma

Honolulu Police are looking for Ryan Onuma.

“On September 21, 2012 at about 12 a.m., the complainant parked his vehicle in the parking lot of Yanagi Sushi and went in and had dinner. Came out and found his vehicle had been broken into.” Crimestoppers Sgt. Kim Buffett said.

Police officers reviewed video surveillance and recognized Onuma. He was later arrested, but had more run-ins with police.

On his last case on July 30, 2013, the complainants were at Halona Blow Hole, the vehicle running and two children in the backseat while the complainant stepped out to take a picture. While taking a picture, an unknown male entered the vehicle and grabbed the purse.” Buffett said.

He was later arrested, and is now wanted for five warrants, totaling $100,000.

Onuma is 42 years old, 5’10, and 220 pounds.

He has 16 prior convictions and is known to frequent the Honolulu Area.
