The Army is advising motorists to be alert and drive with care as the 25th Infantry Division conducts a series of vehicle convoys from Schofield Barracks to Pearl Harbor through April 3.
Each convoy consists of approximately 50 military vehicles of varying size. The vehicles will depart in groups of 10, at staggered intervals, as a safe-driving precaution. Most of the convoys will be conducted at night between the hours of 8 p.m. and midnight, though there may be some conducted during daylight hours.
The Army is coordinating this effort with the Hawaii Department of Transportation.
The 25th Infantry Division’s 2nd Stryker Brigade is transporting the vehicles and equipment for shipment to the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin, Calif.
