WASHINGTON (CNN) — Meeting the president is no small occasion and Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz made sure to capture the moment forever.

Ortiz asked President Obama to pose for a selfie with him as the Boston Red Sox visited the White House to celebrate the team’s 2013 World Series championship.

Ortiz later tweeted the photo thanking the president and calling it an honor.

According to a report, Maui native Shane Victorino was the only Red Sox player not in attendance. A team spokesperson said he was sick.
