Thousands of job seekers packed the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall Wednesday for the Hawaii Career Expo.
Nearly 100 businesses were on hand to meet with possible future employees.
There were also workshops to help job seekers with resume writing, interviewing and other employment tips.
While the expo was a big benefit for those looking for a job, it also helped employers.
“There are a lot of good looking candidates here and that’s what we’re looking for, someone who cares about clients,” said Mario Yim, owner of Yim Investment Management.
This is the first year for the Hawaii Career Expo, hosted by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Monster.com and Alternate Energy. Organizers hope to hold it again in the future.
