The suspect accused of stabbing a man to death in Kailua made his first appearance in a Hawaii courtroom Monday.

Robert Roediger-Geauque, 31, was arrested in San Diego last month for second-degree murder and extradited him to Honolulu.

Police believe he murdered a homeless man in Kailua near Cinnamon’s restaurant last January.

His bail is set at $5 million.
