A man who died after jumping from an area known as “Spitting Caves” in East Oahu has been identified.
The Honolulu medical examiner identified him as 19-year-old Gregory Spillman of Pearl City.
On Saturday, April 5, at around 5 p.m., witnesses saw Spillman jump into the water near Maunalua Bay and say he had problems getting out. Emergency crews pulled him from 10 feet underwater and rushed him the hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced dead.
