One of the military’s largest forensics labs has joined the investigation of human bones found on private property in Kahuku over the weekend. Police do not believe the bones are ancient.
KHON2 has learned that the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC) will study the bones to investigate how old the person was, if it was a man or woman, and if there were any suspicious injuries.
JPAC is the largest, most diverse forensic skeletal laboratory in the world.
