The University of Hawaii at Manoa’s student run newspaper Ka Leo O Hawaii won 11 advertising awards at the 42nd annual College Newspapers Business and Advertising Managers conference in Austin, Tx.
The awards were announced at the last day of the conference on March 29.
More than 50 colleges and universities from across the country submitted over 700 entries into the competition.
These are the awards UH earned including second best newspaper of the year for the marketing and advertising programs.
1st: Best New Group Promotion Concept (Aloha Nights)
1st: Best Sales Promotion Materials
2nd:Best Back to School/ Orientation Guide (New Student Orientation Guide)
2nd: Best Multimedia Campaign
3rd: Best Event Plan or Promotion (Ka Leo Arts Festival)
3rd: Best Newspaper Marketing or Promotion Plan
3rd: Best Public Relations or Marketing Manager (Tianna Barbier)
4th: Best Designer (Roselle Julian)
4th: Best Sales Incentive Program
4th: Best Sales Increase of a Special Issue (Games Book)
