A man accused of threatening a police officer with a toy gun made his first appearance in court Thursday.
Robert Knox was arrested Monday in Kailua after police say he pointed his gun at an officer who was responding to a report of a “suspicious man.”
Knox surrendered after the officer drew his own gun and ordered him to drop his weapon. No one was hurt.
Further investigation revealed Knox had a black plastic toy gun with the orange safety tip painted black. He was charged with terroristic threatening.
Knox is scheduled to be back in court on Monday.
