Survey: Married couples save more on car insurance

A new survey says it may not a good idea to rush into marriage, but it could save you money.

According to a new study from InsuranceQuotes.com, a 20-year-old married man pays 20 percent less than his single friend of the same age.

A 20-year-old woman pays an average of 22 percent less for car insurance than her single counterpart.

Companies assume married couples are more serious about being better drivers, but, those savings start to taper off as drivers get older.
