The Honolulu Fire Department says an unknown chemical substance that was discovered inside a Chinatown apartment complex was not hazardous.

Firefighters got the call just after 9:00 p.m. Saturday night at the Maunakea Tower.  A report of a white powdery substance was discovered in the hallway of the 23rd floor.
