According to a new report, Hawaii is the 8th least-affordable state when it comes to child care.
The report by the child care resource company “Child Care Aware of America,” says in 2012 the average annual cost for infant care was just over $12,400.
According to the report, that’s 14% of the state median income of a married couple.
The report also shows, Hawaii residents pay nearly 44% more for infant child care than college tuition.
