On Maui, the ex-boyfriend of a missing pregnant woman has bailed out of jail.
Police say Steven Capobianco posted his $10,000 bail Tuesday. He was arrested Monday for burglary in a case unrelated to Carly “Charli” Scott’s murder.
Officers had searched his home in February and said they found computers and jewelry possibly taken during a burglary in Haiku. According to police, the burglary victim identified some of her belongings.
Maui police previously called Capobianco a “person of interest” in Scott’s disappearance. She was last seen on February 9. In early March, her disappearance was reclassified as a murder investigation, but no body has yet been found.
KHON2 tried to reach Capobianco for comment, but he hung up on us.
