According to the university, campus security discovered an attempted burglary in progress while patrolling Lower Campus early Tuesday morning.
The suspect was detained and subsequently arrested by Honolulu police. The suspect was later identified as a previously arrested burglary suspect.
University officials say the suspect is believed to be responsible for both previously reported burglaries.
The university is urging the public to call Campus Security at 956-6911 or, in case of emergency, 911, if anyone or anything suspicious is spotted on campus.
