Leeward Oahu is about to get an upgrade in healthcare services.
Governor Abercrombie released $2 million worth of grants on Wednesday for the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center.
The money will help fund the construction of a new two-story, 22,000 square-foot emergency medical services building.
It will replace the existing emergency department.
The new building will add more rooms that will be used for services such as triage, x-rays, and psychiatric care.
