Highway reopened after truck leaks in Waikoloa

A leaky truck was blocking lanes on Highway 190 at the 15 mile marker in Waikoloa on Thursday.

It happened around 3 p.m.

The truck driver was not injured and got out of the truck on his own power.

The Big Island fire department and hazmat crews removed 20 55-gallon drums and 12 30-gallon drums to prevent it from spilling.

Two lanes were was closed for a couple of hours while crews cleaned up and police investigated.
