SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KTVU/CNN) – The opening of the new stadium for the San Francisco 49ers is less than four months away.
Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara is scheduled to open in August.
The team ended its last season at Candlestick Park in San Francisco last December.
This new stadium cost 1.1-billion dollars to build.
“We all take pride in our work. Every trade of course does. We try to do something new like a new big beam, a new bridge, new… It’s just exciting to be a part of that in this area and growing up a 49er fan and putting out hard work in for the city, for the team. It’s pretty awesome,” construction worker Dawson Daniels said.
The nearly 1.9-million-square-foot stadium will have nine-thousand club seats, stadium-wide WiFi, and 21-thousand parking spaces.
The team says it can be used for other events, including concerts, soccer games and motocross racing.
