It’s setting up to be quite the Hoolaulea at Ko Olina this weekend as Oahu’s own Michelle Wie enters round three of the LPGA Lotte championship just one swing back of first place.
The 24-year-old Punahou graduate, who shot two-under Wednesday, posted her LPGA leading 23rd round under par Thursday.
Wie started the round with a birdie on one, before going four-under between the 7th and 14th.
Despite finishing the round bogey free, Wie left plenty on the course, missing short putts on the 15th, 16th, and 17th, while also missing a lengthier birdie try on the 18.
Michelle finished at 5-under 67, good for 7-below-par on the tournament.
