THE VILLAGES, Fla. (WFTV/CNN) – A 50-foot-deep sinkhole is threatening at least two homes in a Central Florida community.
Those affected were evacuated from the Villages Saturday.
Crews are expected to be there throughout the night to fill the hole.
Officials say if the sinkhole spreads, more people could be asked to leave.
Sumter County deputies say the hole first opened up about three weeks ago but was filled.
Deputies believe it opened up again last night because of the rain.
