Hawaii’s Most Wanted: Hung Reading

On Hawaii’s Most Wanted, KHON2 features a man who’s wanted on a warrant.

Honolulu police are looking for Hung Reading, who also goes by the name Johann Pack.

“On Feb 21, 2009 at about 10:30a.m., a male entered Ben Bridge jeweler at Ala Moana Center and asked the sales clerk to see the most expensive watch that was in the store. The clerk led him to the back display and placed the $84,000 watch on his wrist,” Crimestoppers Coordinator Sgt. Kim Buffett said. “The male attempted to walk out of the store but was detained by the security guard posted at the front door. A struggle ensued and the male stripped off his clothes, dropped the watch then fled through the mall.”

Police caught Reading the next day and arrested him for attempted theft.

He’s now wanted on a 20-thousand dollar warrant for not following the terms of HOPE probation.

Hung Reading is 23-years-old, 5-2 and 122 pounds.

“He has nine prior convictions and is known to frequent the Honolulu area,”

Anyone with information on Hung Reading is asked to call Crimestoppers at 955-8300.
