The UH Board of Regents is a step closer to selecting a new president.
Their presidential selection committee narrowed the list of candidates to less than five people on Monday.
In a statement the committee says some candidates withdrew due to the public nature of the process.
The committee’s been looking for a system president since MRC Greenwood announced she was retiring last year.
David Lassner was appointed on an interim basis in July.
The full board will go over the committee’s recommendations at a special meeting next Monday.
