Hawaii Island firefighters extinguished a brush fire in Kailua-Kona Thursday.
The call came in at 1:05 p.m. near the 29-mile marker of Hawaii Belt Rd.
Crews found an actively burning brush fire roughly 3,000 square ft. in size steadily heading north.
Firefighters were able to surround the fire and get it under control in less than 30 minutes.
The fire burned on open land owned by Bishop Estate.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
