Castle High School announces new principal

Sheena Alaiasa has been named principal of Castle High School.

She has been serving as acting principal at Castle since January. Her career history includes working as a teacher at Kahaluu Elementary; vice principal at Heeia and Kailua Elementary schools; and principal at King.

While she was principal at King Intermediate School, she was named the National Middle Level Principal of the Year by MetLife and the National Association of Secondary School Principals in summer 2013.
She was also named Hawaii’s Middle School Principal of the Year in May 2013

She has a master’s degree in educational administration and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education
