Outages possible as Board of Water Supply tests valves in Waimanalo

Board of Water Supply

On Tuesday, April 29, Board of Water Supply crews will conduct valve testing in Waimanalo.

Testing will occur on Hihimanu St. from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as part of a project to relocate BWS waterlines off state property and into a city roadway.

Approximately 100 homes could experience sporadic water outages during the testing period.

Water customers along and near Mekia and Poalima sts. are advised to store enough water for cooking, drinking, and sanitation needs during the testing period. A water wagon will be positioned on Hihimanu St. to provide water should an outage occur.

The valve testing is not expected to result in any major traffic disturbances in Waimanalo.
