Board of Water Supply crews have completed repairs to a water main break in Hawaii Kai.
The 12-inch main break was first reported at around 9 a.m. Thursday on Hahaione St. near Ainapo St. Sixteen homes are without water at this time.
Residents say a wall of water flowed down the street for nearly half a mile before crews arrived, creating a massive hole in the road. No major damage was reported to surrounding homes.
BWS officials aren’t sure what actually caused the break.
