A couple of Jet Ski riders were rescued off the Hamakua coast of Hawaii island late Saturday afternoon.
Chris Alameda and a friend had to be air lifted out of the sea after the Jet Ski they were riding broke down and was taking on water.
They had a phone to call for help, but were confronted with disbelief after the 911 call was made.
Alameda said that the operator thought they were playing a prank on her, but he assured her that their predicament was very much real.
Alameda said it took roughly 15 minutes for 911 to dispatch a helicopter to their location.
Alameda says the dispatcher did a good job communicating with them.
The air lift rescue was captured on their camera phone.
