A former television news anchor is joining the senior administration team at Iolani School.
Kim Gennaula will be the school’s new executive director of advancement starting this fall, school officials announced Monday. She will head all fundraising, alumni and parent relations programs, and campaign and stewardship initiatives.
“The appointment is the culmination of a focused search to carefully select a final candidate with a deep understanding of Hawaii’s unique culture and Iolani’s vision for the future,” Head of School Timothy Cottrell said in the announcement. “Kim’s decision to join Iolani was largely based on her desire to be closer to her family while also building upon the good work that her children’s school continues to do for the community,” Head of School Timothy Cottrell said in the announcement.”
Gennaula currently serves as president and CEO of Aloha United Way, and was previously philanthropy director at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.
