An accused leader of a multi-million-dollar internet gambling ring has been sentenced to prison.
The attorney general’s office says Felix Gee Wan Tom of Honolulu was sentenced to six months behind bars.
Authorities say between 2005 and 2012 the internet gambling operation placed wagers totaling more than $670 million.
Tom forfeited $4 million in assets including two condos in Honolulu and a house in Las Vegas.
More than two dozen others were busted in the operation, including Assagio’s owner Thomas Ky.
On May 7, Ky was sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine.
