Maui firefighters rescued a paraglider after he got tangled in some trees in Kula.
The call came in at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Crews spotted a purple-and-orange paragliding rig at an elevation of 6,000 feet in the Kula Forest Reserve, authorities said.
Rescuers were able to contact the pilot via cell phone. He said he was not injured, but was unable to free himself.
Crews with Air 1 rescued the pilot from the tree and flew him to a landing zone off Waipoli Rd.
