Honolulu Police Department Capt. Andrew Lum answers this week’s question.
Question: I see numerous vehicles all over town with “For Sale” signs parked along city streets and at city parks. Is this a citable offense or illegal?
Answer: It is illegal to park a vehicle with a for sale sign on a city roadway with the intent to sell. The registered owner could be cited $35.
If you are selling your car, remember to remove the “For Sale” sign before parking it on a city roadway.
