Crews had a mess to clean after oil spilled from a trash truck on Maui.

The spill was first reported at 6:22 a.m. on Market St. fronting Iao School.

Maui Fire Dept. Crews arrived to fuel leaking from a broken hydraulic fluid hose on an Aloha Waste trash truck. Officials said the pool of oil measured 10-by-120-feet in size, stretching from Kaohu St. to Palua St.

The school remained open and crews were able to clean the mess by 10 a.m.
