DLNR Conservation program accepts applicants for grants

Department of Land and Natural Resources

State, county, and non-profit land conservation organizations can apply for grants from the State Land Conservation Fund to acquire and protect lands having rare or important resources that provide a public benefit.

Funding can be used for conservation of watersheds; coastal areas, beaches, and ocean access; habitat protection; cultural and historic sites; and much more.

Starting June 1, 2014, the forms and instructions for the 2014-2015 grant cycle will be available at http://dlnr.hawaii.gov/ecosystems/llcp/apply/.

In order to be considered for funding, applicants must submit Agency Consultation Forms by July 1, 2014. Grant applications must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. Sept.15, 2014.
