A 29-year-old is expected to appear in court Tuesday morning after being arrested in connection with a burglary case from two weeks ago.

Honolulu Police said that on May 12, Felix Soares was captured on surveillance video breaking into the resident manager’s office of an apartment building at Lewers St. and Aloha Dr.

Soares, reportedly “a known Waikiki character,” then burglarized one of the residents’ apartments in the same building.

The burglary happened between 2-3:10 a.m. May 12, and the suspect was arrested for burglary in the first degree May 16 after he was identified from the video and a photographic line-up.
