Firefighters extinguish car fire at Honolulu International Airport

5-29 AIRPORT CAR FIRE

Honolulu firefighters and state firefighters responded to a fire at the Honolulu International Airport.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

Officials say a car was on fire on fifth floor on interisland parking structure at 300 Rogers Blvd.

The fire was under control by 10:09 p.m.

The sprinkler system did go off which may have helped to prevent the spread to other vehicles.

There are no reports of any injuries.
