Hawaii’s Most Wanted: Pohaku Kaleikini III

Honolulu police are looking for Pohaku Kaleikini III.

“On Apr. 3. 2012, the victim was sitting on a bench outside a restaurant in the international marketplace, when she observed a male and female walking back and forth. On the second approach the male grabbed her purse and ran. She attempted to give chase and was helped by a security guard in the area. The male fled into one of the hotels and they were unable to locate him. the security guard recognized the male from prior encounters as Pohaku. He was identified through a photographic lineup and later arrested for theft in the 2nd degree.” Crimestoppers Sgt. Kim Buffett said.

Kaleikini was also arrested in June 2012 for driving a stolen vehicle.

He’s wanted on two $20,000 warrants in connection with those cases for not following the terms of HOPE probation.

Pohaku Kaleikini III is 21 years old, 5’3, and 125 pounds.

“And he does have 15 prior convictions. He is known to frequent the honolulu and wahiawa areas.” Buffett said.
