SAN DIEGO, CA (KSWB/CNN) – Here’s something to bust any excuse you may have for not working out today.
Check out Harriette Thompson.
The 91-year-old ran her way into the record books on Sunday when she completed the San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon.
It took her 7 hours, 7 minutes and 42 seconds to run the 26.2 mile course.
The North Carolina resident set a record for the fastest time for a woman over 90.
The previous record was just under 10 hours.
Thompson, who is a cancer survivor, ran to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
And get this, she didn’t run her first marathon until she was 76.
