Over 198 surfers participated in the 18th annual Wahine Surfing Classic hosted by China Uemura and 88 Tees Saturday, all for a good cause.
Proceeds go to China’s foundation to help sex abuse victims at Kapiolani hospital.
“What makes me keep doing it is.. The money that I generate. It goes to a good cause.. And everybody enjoys it… I feel really honored because a lot of the girls I’ve seen since they were keikis… Now they’re pros, and champions. It makes me feel good.” Surfer China Uemura said.
The event will also be held on Sunday starting at 7 a.m.
