Astronauts play zero gravity soccer

In anticipation of the World Cup, the United States astronauts show off their ‘futbol’ moves in microgravity.

Crew members on board the International Space Station took some time to kick around a soccer ball in zero gravity ahead of Thursday’s match between Brazil and Croatia.

American Commander Steve Swanson and his crew members Reid Wiseman and German Citizen Alexander Gerst say they will be cheering on their respective teams from 230 miles above earth.

The first match begins at 11 a.m. Thursday.
